Summit Journal is the official publication of AFIRE, the association for international real estate investors focused on commercial property in the United States. Members of AFIRE represent executive leadership from more than 200 global organizations in 24 countries with approximately $3 trillion in assets under management, and Summit readers—including and extending well beyond AFIRE membership—stand at the intersection of real estate, institutional investing, data science, ESG, research, and economics.
First launched as a twice-yearly publication in early 2019, Summit increased to quarterly in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 crisis and is published quarterly in both digital and print formats. Content includes articles from AFIRE members and executive experts as an extension of the association’s mission to provide an essential forum for real estate investment thought leadership through research and analysis of real estate capital markets, cross-border issues, policy, demographics, technology trends, and management topics.
The summer 2020 issue of Summit, provided for award consideration, represents the full transition of Summit to a free, open-access trade journal (ISSN 2689-6257 [Print]; ISSN 2689-6257 [Online]). The issue features original thought leadership from Aegon Real Assets US, American Realty Advisors, Anthology Capital, Barings Real Estate, Berkshire Residential Investments, Investment Management Corporation of Ontario, L&B Realty Advisors, Lionstone Investments, Man Global Private Markets, Measurabl, Nuveen Real Estate, Prologis, Yardi Matrix, and AFIRE staff. Topics cover COVID-19, asset management, office, retail, logistics, demographic and migration trends, urban infrastructure, ethics, and more.
All content is curated by AFIRE staff and editorial committee members, developed collaboratively between the expert contributors and AFIRE staff, and published with non-exclusive rights to ensure accessibility and global reach for magazine content.
